About Us

Owing to his 12 years of expertise and experience, the goal was to help persons suffering from drug and alcohol addiction to recover physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. Together, they set up the first-if-its-kind Therapeutic Community in India to offer de-addiction treatment and psychiatric services in a treatment model never used before. While other treatments available at that time only addressed the physical aspect of the disease, limited to withdrawal management, Uday began to fix the root cause of this disease, without providing any mood-altering substance as a substitute to the patient’s drug of choice.

Mission

For hundreds of recovering alcohol and drug addicts, Uday Home, a non-profit organisation founded on the oldest and most successful rehabilitation model, serves as a beacon of hope, self-realization, and genuine pleasure. By employing well-researched therapeutic techniques, we at “Healing the Feeling, Feeling the Healing” go beyond the conventional approaches to treating addiction and behavioural disorders. Our dedicated staff is made up of volunteers who have already had effective treatment at Uday and have firsthand experience with recovery. They are dedicated about assisting individuals like them in their recovery from addiction and are knowledgeable about the intricacies of the illness.

Vision of Uday

Treatment at Uday is based on a holistic module that emphasizes on the Physical, Psychological, Social and Spiritual recovery of the residents. We view addiction as a disease, characterized by a dependence on substance and behaviours. Though the disease is chronic and progressive, it’s definitely treatable. WE DO NOT PERMIT THE USE OF ANY MOOD-ALTERING SUBSTANCE in any of our facilities as we believe in 100 % abstinence from day one. We feel that recovery is not a destination; it’s a journey that requires a firm commitment to abstinence from alcohol/drugs and compulsive behaviours. Above all, Uday Home is a home away from home that assists its residents in regaining their self-esteem and self-worth.
